Waste Clearance Terms & Conditions

For the T&C’s below, we are referred to as “we” or “us”.

1

All bookings are subject to our eco waste clearance terms and conditions.

2

We will always stop work on a job if we feel any conditions in carrying out the job could endanger the public, our customers or us.

3

Flexible Waste Clearances

Estimates are not fully corroborated until we arrive on site. If some of the waste has not been shown in photos we have received from you, or we find on site there is more or less than we have seen. Then the price estimated could be either increased, or decreased depending on the amount of waste we clear on the collection day.

4

All non-account customers must make payment before or on the day of the collection.

5

Cancellations within 48 hours of a booked job will always incur a £45 charge. Cancellations within 24 hours of a booked job will always incur a £75 charge.

6

Any amounts outstanding when a job commences. Must be processed as has been agreed between you and us, either before or on completion of the job. Unless otherwise agreed by us in writing.

7

Having cleared and collected the waste, we will charge for the amount of waste we have cleared and collected and if necessary any extra time needed for the collection that wasn't agreed when booking the job. We will do everything we can to provide accurate estimates. On most occasions contact will have been made after viewing the waste to inform the customer of the volume and therefore price. If contact cannot be made quickly, we reserve the right to charge for the amount taken and any extra time or other disposal charges incurred.

8

All waste collected by us is considered the property of the customer until the customer has paid us for the collection, because bulky waste has a high disposal cost,. If a customer refuses to pay, and if the waste has already been loaded on to our vehicle, disposed of or recycled. We then reserve the right to return the same weight or volume of waste that has been collected back to the customer.

9

In respect of all sums which are overdue to us, We will charge interest on a daily basis calculated at 4% per annum above the prevailing base rate for the time being of the Bank of England. Plus, any costs incurred for the collection of any outstanding amounts.

10

On very rare occasions we find that items are too large or heavy to be removed by our 2 man team. In this instance we would re-book if we couldn’t get another 2 man team on-site quickly.

11

Jobs requiring multiple loads are done on a load by load basis and we reserve the right to cease collections at any point and charge for the amount of waste collected.

12

Any queries on collections or our charges for a collection. Must in the first instance be reported to us by phone or email within 24 hours of the completed job. Followed up by writing to us with the specific details for the query.

13

We do not accept food (without prior arrangements) or hazardous waste streams in any of our collections. If we find anything like this has been loaded onto the vehicle inside of black sacks etc. This then could incur you in extra costs for the removal from our vehicle and if necessary where the removal of hazardous waste is concerned. Extra costs coming from a third party company as well.

14

If the team see or suspect Asbestos they are required to leave the site immediately in line with HSE guidelines. Needles and any other hazardous or toxic substances can also result in our immediate vacation of a site or premises.

15

Asbestos

Before any clearance work commences on a customer site where builders’ waste or renovation waste is being cleared, we are entitled to request to view the site-specific asbestos register.

The position and condition of any should be noted within the asbestos register. If, during our work, we see any fibrous material or other that we think may be asbestos, we reserve the right to:

– stop work immediately

– prevent any dust / fibre being released e.g. turn off power tools or minimize air movement etc.

– evacuate the immediate area and prevent access by others e.g. the public

– inform those responsible for the premises and the Health and Safety coordinators , so that the necessary sampling can be arranged

– do (remove) not return to that area until informed that it is safe to do so.

We will still require the job payment to be paid in full.

16

As a skip hire alternative firm. We charge for the amount of waste we have cleared and collected, this can be either by volume or by weight. We allow 5 minutes per yard for a collection unless any other arrangements have been made for this. If you think extra time is needed to complete a job. This can either be be paid for when booking or if we are on site and through no fault of ours the job has taken longer than the allocated time. We will then charge any extra time taken in 15 minute increments at the prevailing rate, which is available by request. Estimates given against photos that we have received by  way of email or any other media are not fully corroborated until we arrive on site.

17

New Account Customers

New Account customer’s balances will be due on receipt until a credit limit is approved by us. Once payments are seen to be on time and prompt, we would offer 30 day payments up to a certain agreed amount.
